I purchased the anniversary edition Corvette Convertible and luv it to this day (it still turns heads and gets me lots of whistles from the girls). However, if i had to do it all over again i would take the $100k and buy and apt. building instead, especially in today's realestate market. As nice as all the whistles are, my wife will not let me bring these girls home (ha ha). But seriously, the car costs me $10k/year to maintain (insurance, gas, upkeep etc.) and the apt. building or other rental property would be "making me money". Just my thought, but, like me, i'm sure you will go ahead and buy the car (get the Porsche, but NOT the Boxter). The ladies luv these the best.
