2008 HUMMER H3 Off-Road Video

The HUMMER H3 proved it could live up to the HUMMER name when we took it off-roading in the Pocono mountains. Our tester came with the Alpha package which includes the Vortec 5.3 L V8 and 4-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to the V8, the H3 produces 300hp @ 5,200rpm and 320lb-ft of torque @ 4,000rpm. Pricing for the Alpha H3 is affordable, starting at $38,645 but our tester went up to $41,130. Fuel economy for this beast also isn’t anything to be ashamed of, making 13mpg city/16mpg highway, but don’t expect that decent gas mileage if you’re towing the 6,000lb that the H3 is capable of pulling.
