In today’s day and age, every buyer wants the best option for the cheapest price and the 2010 Ford Taurus SEL falls right into that category. The modernized and bold (by American manufacturer standards) Taurus mixes luxury options into the family sedan. The Taurus SEL offers many customizations and options, from seven ambient lighting choices, vibrating and massaging front seats, push button start (a first for the Taurus), and adaptive cruise control.

The Ford Taurus is still a large car, coming in 2″ longer than its competitors and 2″ inches wider than the Chrysler 300C. It is also almost 300 pounds heavier than the 2009 Taurus model thanks to additional equipment and extra interior insulation to muffle outside noise. However, despite its size, the ’10 Taurus packs some power with its 3.5L V6 that produces 263 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque. While the car responds and feels like a vehicle of its substantial size, host Jessi Lang had no problem getting up and keeping up speed in the Taurus, as proven by her recent speeding ticket.

Our tester came in at a modest $32,985 with some of the goodies like the push button start, but if you’re fine starting the car with a key and going with the basics, the 2010 Taurus SEL starts at $27,370.

The Taurus makes the Honda Accord look pathetic. Interior is more refined, dash is easy access and flows to the console and a cross country car. Honda Accord seats are like sitting on a bleacher seat and very small. Expensive grocery getter the Accord.
