Brian Armstead, 46, has joined the Roadfly.com editorial team as a Road Test Editor/Public Relations Director. Brian has worked in radio, television and print for more than 30 years. Current and past affiliations include work with On Wheels Incorporated; The Washington Times; Wheels Today; Motor News Media Syndicate; The Black Family Channel; AboutThatCar.com; Xii Magazine; Rides Magazine; Atlanta Tribune, The Magazine; Sister to Sister Magazine; Cruise Control Radio; NBC Radio; WDCU FM Radio; AutomotiveRhythms.com; Automotive Rhythms, The Magazine; and XM Satellite Radio, where he co-hosts the “AutoSense” car talk show, part of the program “Too Much Information with Alvin Jones” on XM 169, The Power. Brian is currently President Emeritus of the Washington Automotive Press Association (WAPA).
Brian’s other automotive interests include restoration and project cars. He credits Vern Parker of The Washington Times and Les Jackson of Cruise Control Radio for his interest in the classics. “I currently own a 1994 Mercedes E320 Cabriolet and a 1993 Audi UrS4. Both are unique, low production vehicles and appreciating classics. Learning about the ‘stars’ of the past helps me understand where manufacturers are today,” said Brian.
