| This rare example of "the Ultimate Driving Machine", one of 225 US version BMW 850 CSI coupes that were sold in the USA, has been driven 115,500 highway miles by a car club enthusiast.
I am the second owner, since July of 1996. This car was issued a new VIN (NY52308) @10,000 miles by NY State after one of the factory VIN Plates, located at the windshield by the driver's A pillar, was removed by a thief and not recovered. The VIN plate on the door remains. The car was inspected and declared to be intact. This is not a salvage title. Carfax gives this car a clean report. During the thirteen years that I have driven this car it has been registered and inspected yearly and driven garage to garage, with NO racing, accidents, smoke, food or drink. It has a LoJack Vehicle Recovery System and a K-40 Integrated front and rear radar detector installed. All service records are available. In the last twenty five thousand miles the following major components have been replaced: Complete clutch assembly; Radiator, expansion tank, fan clutch and hoses: Alternator, belts, tensioners and batteries; Brake pads and rotors, struts and front end stabilizer bars, thrust bushings and tie rod ends; Starter. The car has new tires (235/45ZR17, 265/40ZR17) and passed a NY State inspection March 2009. Most every system on the car functions as new. I just upgraded the electronics to give it Navigation, bluetooth, and front and rear TV cameras for parking, just like the 645/650 and put in a new On-Board Computer display, It is equipped with a dual climate controlled HVAC w/ microfilter; a driver?s seat with inflatable lumbar support and 3 separate memory settings for the seat position, side mirrors, and steering wheel; new pioneer avec n4 am-fm radio CD DVD with XM radio; driver and passenger airbags; electric central-remote locking and anti-theft system; power sun roof and rear fold down rear seats. Under the hood is the M-Tech 5576cc V12 Power plant. This V12 still runs satiny smooth and the six speed manual transmission shifts perfectly.
