This is a terrific car. I am the 4th owner (since 2003) and have loved this car but other projects take priority right now. I purchased her from a gentleman in New Jersey after he bought it in San Francisco but realized it was a bit of a handful. I am a former professional mechanic and take pride in keeping up with maintenance. The motor runs strong and the transmission shifts as it should. Overall it is very presentable but is indeed a driver and not a concours car. I have tried to show some paint imperfections with the extended photos.
1,767 M6s were imported into the United States and Canada so this is indeed rare and needless to say looks great. It is fast although largely original and unadulterated. The exhaust is a custom stainless UUC Ultimate M5/M6 cat-back system Rob Levinson had built some years ago and sounds great. The wheels are BMW OEM BBS forged 3 –piece 17” Style 5 from a 540i with Pirelli PZero Nero 235/45ZR-17 tires in good shape. They are very similar to the original 3-piece M6 wheels offered in Europe only. The original TRX tires and metric BBS 415mm rims are included. The self leveling rear suspension has been remove; the parts come with the car. A used OEM cat comes with the car. It has a Dinan chip good for some 40 hp and better driveability. The windshield, ECU, starter, brake accumulator, and battery have all been recently replaced.
