| 1988 BMW 325i Convertible. 5-speed, 180,000 miles. Really fun summer car, drives and handles great. Every possible 1988 3-series option and everything works, including the heated seats, A/C (updated and blows ice cold), cruise control, trip computer, and service indicator. Mint-condition navy blue leather interior with no split seams or worn spots. Nice Alpine CD deck with iPod hookup. I have owned the car for 4 years, and whenever anything wore out, it was replaced with new OEM parts or upgraded to better-than-new. Mobil 1 oil chnages every 3000 miles. I have a file folder of receipts and records documenting maintenance, etc.
New within the last few years: Timing belt/tensioner/water pump. Clutch with resurfaced flywheel and new slave cylinder and master cylinder, remanufactured driveshaft with new center bearing and flex coupling, completely rebuilt front suspension with new control arms, upgraded bushings, new tie rods, rack boots, and strut mounts. New Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks front and rear. New upgraded rear shock mounts. New stainless steel exhaust which is no louder than original. Plus lots of minor stuff like battery, oxygen sensor, plugs/wires/distributor cap & rotor, etc. Car is very reliable and driven every day.
Car comes with two sets of wheels, steel wheels with brand new winter tires (shown) and original BMW alloy wheels with worn tires that should be replaced.
The body is the weak point. It has several dents and two minor rust spots. There is no structural rust, and the underside is 100% solid. With minor body work and a fresh paint job, the car would be perfect. Price is $2500 cash only. Not interested in any trades.
