| My Marine son has a 1998 740I BMW with 168,000 miles on it. It is Black in color. He is stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan. Before he came home for leave, I put $2000 worth of work on the car, so he could drive his dream car while he was here. 6 days after he came home, the transmission went up in the car. All of the vehicle history is at one BMW speciality auto shop. We live in Germantown, TN. I am looking for someone who would be able to fix up the engine/transmission and take the car. It has been well taken care of up to this point. We have spent well over $8000 during the past 4 years since we bought the car. I can't bring myself to sell it to a salvage yard and don't have the money to fix her up. Anyone interested or knows of someone who might be interested, please have them contact me at Sparksflydaily@aol.com. Serious inquires can send an email for my cell phone number. I was told by the local BMW dealership to put $2000-$2500 on the car. I am looking to at least recoup the $2000 or close to it that I spent before the transmission died. I think it will be a great car for someone who knows how to work on them. |
