This stunning 1987 M6 is designed both for the man who wants to race and the man who wants a show car for street driving. The tires, suspension, shocks and brakes have been outfitted for the former (e.g., Four New Nanhang NS II Sport tires Z35/40 R17 @ $150/each; 17 inch BBS sport wheels; B&B Free Flow exhaust; Turner Conforti Chip with new BMW DME; Front Strut Tower Brace and new front struts; Bilstein Shocks; K-Mac adjustable camber plates; H&R Performance springs; with extra set of four OEM TRX wheels with Michelin TRX tires). The latter boasts a practically flawless Cinnabar red exterior that continually gleams after being Turtle-waxed and Armoralled on a weekly basis. The tan leather interior is in good shape, while the two front seats are covered with custom-made high quality ($500/pair) honey-colored sheep skins that absorb exterior sound and give a really comfortable ride. Has workable Sunroof that opens two ways. Factory air conditioning. The $1500 sound system is only a year old, custom installed with high-quality Pioneer CD/AM/FM/MP3/Satellite receiver and Kicker speakers with JBL subwoofer and modulator in trunk that produces no distortion and sounds like you’re in Carnegie Hall! This car has been babied by all its previous owners, always garaged and has never seen the rain. Comes with custom flannel car cover. The underbelly is totally free of rust or corrosion. It has been meticulously serviced and all records stored. Many mechanical parts have been replaced within the last two years (e.g., clutch, water pump, steering ball joints, belts, driver-side rubber molding, aerial, master brake cylinder, front calipers and pads, front struts, motor and transmission mounts, steering linkage, power steering hoses, master brake cylinder, battery, fuel pump, radiator, shocks, camber plates, suspension bushings, spark plug wires, distributor rotor, fog lights). Recently tuned with Bosch plugs and new spark plug wires. Bad points are: driver’s leather seat is rather worn (but is now covered by the thick sheepskin); leather near windshield is curled in several places (635s and M6s have always had this problem); chrome on back bumper is somewhat faded; air conditioning needs recharging; a few paint cracks on front spoiler (even though it was painted last year!); has a slight oil leak (the transmission must be dropped to replace the oil seal). This is one beautiful and well-maintained machine waiting for the right owner to continue the pride of M6 ownership that it has been accustomed to receiving for the last 23 years. I bought it from the fifth owner in July 2008 with 131,000 miles. I hate to give it up because M6’s in good condition are hard to come by, but I’ve got ten kids and am buying a new family home. I’ve enjoyed it immensely for two years but my toy days are over. I think this car is a steal at $11,900. Please take this off my hands before I change my mind. I want to sell it before November 4, since that is our moving date.
