Well as I have been trying to straight trade my 1984 633, it has come to my attention that selling might be easier, and then buy a 4 door e36. Having said this, I am still open to a reasonable e36 325i, 328i, 5 speed factory with a clean carfax and history. The reason for sale is I would really like to get in to a 4 door car, I am relying heavily on my 09 jetta anytime I would like more than just a passenger. Not a sob story, just some information. For those who have already seen my FT thread, the pictures are basically the same, for those who PMd asking about a straight price, there is one included! Details about my e24 633csiA: 5/1984 build date: North American built VIN: WBAEB7402E6728178 -I have the title in hand -Car is registered in North Carolina, no smog is required on cars this age here, cannot say whether or not she will pass, she passed last in Maryland in 2008 (which after 25 years also no longer requires smog in state) NO accident reports, no insurance claims (to my knowledge & carfaxs), all responsible parties owned, 4 owners since 1984. Started in Denver, CO, car made its way to Maryland where it was sold from the original owner to 3 individuals, me being the 4th. I have owned the car since 2008. Since owning the car I have only driven her approximately 6,000 miles. She is my daily driver, and this number changes weekly now. For the first 2 years I put only 1000 miles on the car as I was traveling and living away from the car. Very sound, reliable engine, no abnormal noise, misfires, etc. Does take a moment on the coldest North Carolina mornings, does not hesitate to start ever, just in first takes the revs down to about 800 but doesnt stall. Car has on a working odometer (replaced gear that commonly breaks, have records of "lost miles" where I drove the car without a working gear ~1900mi,) ~134,000miles now, original 5 speed from factory, I have also replaced the water pump, thermostat, completely flushed the cooling system, blower motor, spark plugs, fuel filter, regular ~3,000mile oil changes with new mahle filters, replaced the sunroof motor, installed an e30 maplight review mirror, replaced the pealing speaker covers with matching 1988 635 premium speaker pods, new to me shifter knob (originally off another mid 1980s e24), all lighted window switches upgraded, replaced brake booster seal for common leak fix, replaced coolant sensor, replaced brake fluid sensor, clean trunk bay, have e24 car cover, always garage kept during periods of intermittent storage, tires have about ~8-10,000 miles of tread left, wheels are 3 piece mesh epsilons very of period, the rest of the suspension is stock. Mint backseats, No rust, in arches, behind trim, on strut towers, have oil reset tool, full tool kit in trunk with green handle heyco screwdrivers. Have yet to install but have rear euro headrests with mounts (two tone right now, but will dye or buy a matching cardinal headrest mounts are cardinal headrests are tan) Summary: -new odometer gear -new thermostat -new water pump -new fuel filter 3,000 miles ago -new coolant cap -new coolant sensor -new brake fluid reservoir sensor & cap -new brake booster seal -new to car light window switches -new to car maplight e30 rear view mirror -new to car premium speaker pods matching -new to car sunroof motor -new to car blower motor -new to car A pillars -new to car shift knob -new to car rear euro headrests -new higher energy lamp bulb in cluster -regular 3,000 mile oil changes -cooling system completely flushed 5,000 miles ago -brake system bled and flushed 300 miles ago -rear differential fluid changed 3,000 miles ago -manual transmission fluid changed 3,000 miles ago -new spark plugs bosch silber wr9ls spark plugs 300 miles ago -air filter changed 3,000 miles ago -e24 specific car cover, with space for side mirrors -Have all hoses for cooling system, vacuum hosing, spare hosing, additonal spark plugs, all fuses, relays, a second and third sunroof motor, 15 additional lighted window switches, another amp from a 93 525i, a second of period cassette radio with unlock code, air filter, multiple oil filters ALL IN DUPLICATE IN THE TRUNK i.e. second sets of every replacement part in case of emergency (I dont joke around). -Customized fan pulley tool to secure water pump while removing fan -3 piece Epsilon wheels -Owners manual and radio operators manual -complete tool kit -no clear coat failure -all windows function -all interior lights work, and dashboard lights, check panel also -Average 23 mpg approx. 340 miles to a 15 gallon fillup -have only used 91/93 octane since purchasing (just a preference not required) -last year the 633s were produced & e28 based -no cracks in light housings, turn signals, grill, trim -chrome side mirrors The Bad: -The headliner has some discoloration, on the sunroof, and around it, I believe it has come from pollen, dust 30 years of driving when you retract the sunroof, just adds up on what seems to be a relatively absorbent cloth -crack in the dash - in pictures -there is some small paint rising from wheel wells - all are in the pictures -brake LIGHT warning comes on at start of car, tap the brakes it goes off, all lights are fully functional (this is NOT the brake pad sensor) -tires have about 8-10k left on tread -Epsilons could be powder coated -radio presets 4-6 do not work -sunroof can develop leak if it is down pouring (I am cleaning the sunroof drains to clear this up) -A/C has never been addressed, or converted, does not blow cold -small 2 inch dent in drivers quarter panel (could probably be punched out) -sometimes blower motor kicks out some heat (need to put a resistor in between relay and motor) -small crack in driver and passenger side door seal (water only would get in it you pushed the hose against it while washing it) -several rock chips but for a 27 year old car, not bad - might be able to see in pictures -small scratches in some areas from washing/waxing/being a car that got driven If I forgot anything I will edit, on to pictures! http://imgur.com/a/T1BKX Sorry you can search my name for in thread pictures, but I hate how it distorts the text to a point that it stretches across 2 computer screens. Asking Price with all extras included: $4,800 Links to previously marketed cars; asking prices; price guides: http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1984/BMW/633CSI/2-Door-Coupe/Values http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/search.php?searchid=20764867&pp=25 http://www.roadfly.com/bmw/classifieds/cars/listads.php?cat=217&pages=1&sortby=_PRICE&dir=ASC http://www.bigcoupe.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=8&sid=2d355ff299ed8dc1c857e7b9c8273086 I know there will be some talk about the price, I have my reasons, it is an asking price not a commandment set in stone, I was trying to price it appropriately for a running, lower miles (averages to less than 5,000 miles a year since 5/1984), factory 5 speed, desirable interior color, and to push out any 2-3k buyers who will not take care of the car the way that it should. I am a bmwcca member, and proud of the care that has gone in to this car. Please keep the thread clean! More pictures on request! Thank you,
