Recently I had the opportunity to tour BMW’s Werks 1 Production Factory in downtown Munich.

This facility is responsible for world-wide production of the M engines as well as a significant number of 3 Series wagons. The video features manufacturing areas such as the robotic welding arms, robotic car painting as well as final car prep areas of the factory.

On our recent trip to Denmark to test drive the new BMW 1 Series Coupe, the folks from BMW took us on a detour to BMW Welt (translation: BMW World) in Munich, Germany. BMW Welt is all-new, designed by the architectural design firm Coop Himmelb(l)au to showcase the BMW experience. Located in close proximity to the BMW product facility, BMW museum, and BMW headquarters, BMW Welt serves as a place to display the best of BMW vehicles and as a customer delivery center.
