The couple unveiled their 4200-square foot retail facility to the public by way of a grand opening party on March 19, 2005. The new "superstore" is located at 1745 South Broadway, and is just minutes from I-25 in Denver. Patrons of the store will be treated to an open, loft-style showroom, complete with stained concrete floors, 10-foot wide skylights, shelves stocked with quality detailing chemicals and equipment, and a Bordeaux Red Pearl Lotus Elise that's parked dead center in the store.
They also have a 3-bay service area, an ammenity that's been well received by both local car clubs and consumers alike. "We've had customers wander in to see what we're about, and once they start talking with us, they usually ask all kinds of questions. A lady recently came in to the store and asked if we had anything that would clean and protect the white leather on her Range Rover, so we had her bring her SUV around to the service bays. We tried a few products on the leather, and she found one she liked and bought it. The bays are really handy for all sorts of things," says Martinez.
Detailers Paradise also hosts car care clinics and how-to classes from their facility. Martinez explains, "We've had great response from local car clubs, and are looking at a pretty busy schedule for trainings and seminars. We provide hands-on training, using donor cars so that everyone has a chance to see how things work."
Paying homage to the "Paradise" theme, Nick and Heather chose to build an entertainment center into the 2000-square foot showroom, complete with a 52" HD TV with surround sound system, leather couches and a handsome restroom, and a fully equipped employee lounge and kitchen area. "We spend a lot of time at the store," says Martinez, "So we wanted it to be as comfortable as possible."
During the grand opening event, the big-screen TV broadcast the 12 Hours of Sebring race for guests to enjoy. Martinez adds, "The couch is really comfortable - we had one guy watch the race for more than three hours during the grand opening." In addition to the race broadcast, the grand opening featured several show cars, including an ultra-rare Noble M12. A Ferrari F40 and Maserati Quatroporte were scheduled to be on display as well, but last minute scheudling conflicts prevented their presence.
Like the web site, the Detailers Paradise showroom provides dozens of high quality car care products and accessories. Martinez says the showroom has a few items not offered via the website, such as lightweight racing jacks (for raising and lowering a vehicle), and other high-end garage gear. "We work very hard to carry products that we believe in - everything we sell is something that we use or have used ourselves, and that allows us to provide helpful support and informative recommendations to people," says Martinez. "If someone needs help with a product choice or a certain techinque, we can help them, as we've probably been there before and had similar questions of our own."
