Porsche Panamera

Spy shots of the new Porsche Panamera continue to roll in. Yesterday afternoon, Alex Stack a Roadfly staff photographer was lucky enough to spot a Panamera test mule driving through downtown San Francisco.

It was around 2:15 in the afternoon and Alex was riding his motorcycle around the Fisherman’s Wharf area of San Francisco when his experienced eye spotted a camouflaged test mule. He didn’t realize until he got closer to it that it was the new Porsche Panamera which Porsche is expected to unveil early in 2009. We still don’t know whether the new Porsche will debut as a 2009 or a 2010 model and there have been no confirmations as to engine and drive train options.

According to Alex the car was being driven very passively at the time he saw it and had no noticeable exhaust or engine noise. “There were four people inside the car whom appeared to be engineers. The front passenger had a laptop open and was clearly monitoring something” reported Alex.

Alex commented, “I definitely noticed the quad exhaust tips coming from under the rear valance of the car. They looked very much like those found on a Cayenne.”

Alex also commented that when viewing the pictures it is hard to see that the turn indicator lights and brake lights are actually LED lights.
