2010 Subaru Legacy GT Car Review Video
Monday, May 17th, 2010Often overlooked, Subaru has trucked along in a market saturated with Hondas, Toyotas, Mazdas, BMWs… well, the list could go on. Subaru, maker of the Outback and the WRX, has been quietly building its loyal customer base with other vehicles from its product line, like the 2010 Subaru Legacy GT.
The build, to the average eye, looks like your standard sedan, but underneath the simple and stylish exterior, the Legacy is a sporty, and self-assured vehicle. The 2010 LegacyGT is powered by a 2.5L turbocharged engine (easily tunable) that produces 265 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. In true Subaru fashion, all Legacy models have AWD standard, something that no other car in its class can say but with the AWD, you’ll lose a bit in the fuel economy category, getting 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.
Inside the ’10 Legacy, the passenger and the driver will be happy. Thanks to the additional 3.2″ on the wheelbase, the backseat passengers now have an additional 4″ of legroom. For the driver, the climate and audio controls are separated for easy changes without distracting from the road.
The Legacy is offered in 8 trim levels, with a starting price just shy of $20,000. Our Legacy 2.5GT tester topped out a little over $30,000.
